Concepte County was established in 1853 and is nestled in central Illinois between St. Louis and Chicago. These metropolitan areas allow for access to many of life’s pleasures while Concepte County remains relatively unspoiled by urban sprawl.  The county’s rural atmosphere evokes family farms and gentle country living. The towns of Concepte County are a mix, ranging from the historical Silversmith to the rural Fremont, to the railroad boom-town  of Rail City and the proud county seat of Sunny.

Concepte County is a progressive county, rich in history, agriculture, natural resources, green spaces, beautiful waterways and strong community values, which possesses exceptional educational, cultural, recreational and health care resources that are well balanced with high quality and strategically located job opportunities in a safe and harmonious environment supported by infrastructure where diverse people, business and government thrive together to excel.
