Can I register to vote on Election Day?
No, this election does not offer in-person registration on Election Day.
Can I register to vote online?
Connecticut offers online voter registration.To use the online voter registration system you must have a current and valid driver’s license, learner’s permit, or non-driver photo identification card issued by the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and a signature on file with DMV.
Can I submit voter registration forms in person?
You can complete a voter registration application in person. Contact your Registrar of Voters for information on when and where to register to vote.
Do I need to bring an ID to vote in person?
You may be asked to show ID to vote in Connecticut. Acceptable forms include: Social Security card any pre-printed form of ID that shows your name and address, name and signature, or name and photographIf you're a first-time voter who registered by mail, you will need to show proof of residence as well. Acceptable forms include: current and valid photo ID that shows your name and address copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or government document that shows your name and addressVoters without ID: If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to sign an affidavit instead and then vote normally.
