Staffordshire Police opens search for new chief constable following misconduct ruling
Staffordshire Police launched a formal recruitment process for a new chief constable on Thursday. This vacancy follows the departure of Chris Noble, who resigned from his post in late July. Noble stepped down just before a scheduled misconduct tribunal regarding his behavior. The Independent Office for Police Conduct had previously investigated the former chief constable.
A disciplinary panel subsequently determined that Noble committed gross misconduct. This finding resulted in his permanent disbarment from the police service. The force is now seeking a replacement to lead the department following these disciplinary actions.
