The bill has strong bipartisan support and addresses a non-controversial environmental issue, but many small bills like this struggle to get floor time.

Key Points

This bill would require the Department of Agriculture to start a national campaign to teach people about spotted lanternflies. These insects are an invasive species that can cause a lot of damage to local farms and plants.
The government would put up billboards and run ads on TV and radio in areas where these bugs are a big problem. These ads will explain why the bugs are dangerous to the environment and tell people to kill them on sight.
The goal is to stop the spread of these pests by getting regular people involved. By teaching everyone what the bugs look like and why they need to be stopped, the government hopes to protect crops and trees across the country.
