North Charleston Police Officers Attacked by Large Crowd During Fourth of July Block Party
North Charleston police officers were assaulted while responding to reports of gunfire at a permitted Fourth of July block party in the Chicora-Cherokee community. A group of teenagers attacked the officers as they attempted to disperse the crowd and manage the scene. Both officers involved have since returned to duty.
