Israeli air strikes kill aid worker and children across Gaza

The Israeli military conducted a series of strikes in Gaza City and Khan Younis between July 8 and July 9. Medics reported gunfire and air strikes killed five people including a child on Wednesday. Later that day, additional strikes killed eight more Palestinians including two children. Operations continued into Thursday as attacks in multiple locations killed nine people including two children. One strike in the Sabra neighborhood killed Mohammad al-Waheidi, a prominent aid worker. Residents mourned al-Waheidi for his efforts to provide community services and public broadcasts during the conflict.
