.@RepNadler is pushing another HOAX meant to demonize our law enforcement. This death had NOTHING to do Border Patrol. Mr. Shah Alam passed almost A WEEK AFTER he was released by Border Patrol — he also had a serial violent criminal rap sheet. Mr. Shah Alam’s criminal history included charges for assaulting a first responder with intent to cause injury, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing with a weapon, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, and obstructing governmental administration.

Our country welcomes a refugee with open arms. He is then wrongfully detained by DHS and dropped off miles from home in the cold of winter. He is blind and doesn't speak English. This was practically a death sentence. Shah Alam's family deserves answers and justice.

DHS is lying—watch the video Border Patrol abandoned a nearly blind man, who doesn't speak English, at night in the Buffalo cold with no way of getting home or contacting his family Nurul should be alive right now. We need to rein in this rogue agency https://t.co/2GhfeiAB01

Border Patrol took a nearly blind father, barely able to communicate, and seemingly abandoned him in the cold far from his home without telling his loved ones. My heart breaks for Nurul Amin Shah Alam’s family. He should be alive—and this should have never happened. Alam’s family deserves answers from ICE and CBP and we must have an immediate independent investigation.
