Fixes a past mistake so some border officers hired around July 2008 get the stronger retirement deal they were supposed to have
Gives these officers higher pension payments and lets some stay on the job past the normal forced retirement age
Requires Homeland Security to find everyone affected, tell them about the fix, and send records so pensions can be corrected, even for people already retired
Allows retroactive changes so no one misses out just because they were slightly older when first hired
Orders a watchdog review of hiring and benefits rules at the border agency so this kind of retirement error does not happen again
